The infamous O.J. Simpson has been charged with a new crime on Tuesday, along with three other men. The eleven charges include two counts of first-degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
O.J. Simpson has been involved in crime in the past. He was charged for murdering his ex-wife and her friend. He was found to be not guilty, which had some people outraged, but he still had to pay the Goldman family $33,500,000. O.J. used to be an NFL star, and won various awards for being a good football player.
I think O.J. Simpson might have bipolar disorder. I infer this from my experiences with, and self-studying, the disorder. As far as we know, O.J.s first manic episode was when he might have killed his ex-wife and her friend. In a bipolar manic stage, one can make bad decisions that sound great and fantastic at the time, but really are terrible ideas. One cannot be talked out of these ideas, because he feels like what he is doing is a great idea, and the people around him are just being paranoid.
Of course, this was a terrible decision. He got charged with both murders, even though he was eventually found to be not guilty of both murders.
Since then, O.J. could have been in a really tumultuous mental state, perhaps rapid cycling, or bipolar disorder I or II. O.J. could have been going through intense depression, or more minor manic episodes, and let them build up, which could have caused him to have another manic episode on September 13, 2007, when he led three other men to a Las Vegas casino to retrieve memorabilia which he believed was stolen from him, and he held the victims at gunpoint. Once again, this might have seemed like a really great idea to O.J. at the time, and perhaps people were trying to talk him out of it, but once again he didnt listen.
O.J. Simpson may have bipolar disorder, but it has definitely never been studied (as far as I know) or diagnosed with it. But I strongly believe that he at least as some sort of mental disorder that should be taken care of, and I think it is specifically bipolar disorder.
